![]() Scenario: Guild has MC on farm, every priest has benediction, we’ve been deleting every Eye of Divinity since no priest still needs. ![]() Of course- at its worst, yeah, it ends up being a corrupt leadership team gearing themselves up, but that generally crashes unless it’s a streamer guild (in which case, let’s face it, players are in the guild for a reason other than gear). Rather that players thinking ‘oh, I just need to make sure I’m not one of the bottom players’ they think ‘I need to be one of the guild’s top players’. It encourages players to play better rather than just show up like /roll and DKP do. LC at its best is going to award top items to the players that are using consumes, on time, have good attendance and tend to be high on the charts. Most guilds as far as I see only LC a few top items (onslaught girdle, most tank gear, a few specific weapons, and of course stuff like Thunderfury). ![]() One- if you LC everything it can take a lot of time, and you’ll have a lot of players that feel like they’re going nowhere, that can get very bitter about it. Now, partial LC is probably better for a few reasons. If everything is just DKP/roll, you’re going to end up with a lot of inefficiencies, you’ll end up with spriests with mageblades before mages, with human warriors with DB before gnomes or gnomes with viskag before humans, or hunters with thunderfury. LC guilds that realize what gear is best for what spec generally make the best decisions that increase the raid’s capabilities. ![]() Guilds that LC to raid leaders and friends are no good- guilds that LC to their best players however are the best guilds in the game. ![]()
